Ruckus Roboticus' "Take Me to a Disco" Video Shoot: Behind the Scenes
Ruckus Roboticus recently asked me to join him at the shoot for his upcoming music video for his song "Take Me to a Disco". I took quite a few behind-the-scenes photos, many of which I still need to edit.

Here, however, is a quick shot from about 3/4 of the way through the day.

That's Ruckus Roboticus in the middle, with the robot head, and the director is on the right, doing a bit of, well... directing. :)

Some of the photos turned out great; I'll share them when I'm allowed.

Mehrangarh Fort
In early March, I went to Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, on a clinic visit with the charity OneSight, to give out glasses to those who couldn't afford them.

On one of our free days, we went to Mehrangarh Fort. Here are a couple of my faves from the fort. You can csatch the rest in the flickr set from my India trip.

This is Anton viewing a couple of the guns at the fort. I particularly like this one.

Here are a couple of our team members, far enough ahead of us on the tour that they were on a different level of the fort.

Catch a Flash in Action
DSC_0040

Ran across this pic from a few years ago. It's from a Ruckus Roboticus gig (that's him far right), and I caught a flash in action. Pretty neat.

Some of My Favorite Pics of 2009
In 2009 photography took a big step back for me, as I'd gotten a bit burnt out after snapping a dozen parties' worth of Juke pics, plus a ton of other stuff. However, I thought I should go through and grab my favorite pics from this year, just to maybe inspire myself to get back into it in oh-ten.

So here they are, in no particular order.  I should say that some of these pics here because they are faves and not necessarily because they are the best quality.  There were some good times around these pictures.

And yeah, the Pris logo is a bit much, sorry.  I need to go back and replace those with logo-less versions.  Oh well.

Also, check out a hilariously lame review of the show. Note the comments especially. :)

NYC & 2SJ
I went to NYC last week to catch the premiere of Get in the Van, the documentary on the reunion tour of the 2 Skinnee J's, an excellent band and personal friends of mine. I only got a few snaps from the premiere, though, since I was more focused on the film. Here's one from the Q&A:

The Director & The J's

While I was there, I was able to attend a semi-exclusive recording of a live, acoustic set the band did for Raw Dog on Sirius XM. I'm not sure when it will air, but I did manage to get quite a few good pics. The whole set is on flickr, but here are a couple of my favorites.

This was the first time I really got to use my new lens. I like it!
